Here are pictures from our "big trip" so far. Our first stop was Grand Marais, Michigan, where Justin spent his last two years of high school. There were 5 in his graduating class!:

There was a river leading out to Lke Superior. Justin found a nice painted turtle.


Jeremy (Justin's brother) and Nikki celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary while we were there.


This is the shoreline of Lake Superior. There was a nice beach on the bay at Grand Marais.

Most of the shoreline of Lake Superior is rock and pebble. The boys had a blast looking at rocks and tossing them into the lake.


While in Gand Marais they hosted the annual "Splash In" where a dozen or two sea planes come into town. They have challenges on Saturday and we had lots of fun watching them!
